Heya,

I am facing the problem where the Joomla breadcrumb is not listing correctly the location of the user on the site.

From home if you go into forums it looks like this: Home > Forum
For new topics, recent topics looks like: Home > Home > New Topic and so on and so forth.

As soon as i enter a board it goes back to Home, same is happening with topics.

This is partially the reason why the forum link is not Active when you browse through boards and topics.

I search about breadcrumbs and most came upon old kunena discussions so question how to fix it still remains.

If there is no possible fix as I came across some topics where breadcrumbs is not supported by kunena, how to make the link Active when i browse through boards and topics.

Installation is fresh and did not messed up at all with menus etc etc.

Tried also some workarounds found on topics about the active link, but i am mostly concerned about the breadcrumbs issue with kunena boards and topics.

Thanks in Advance.

G'day, Inny, and welcome to Kunena.

We do not answer support questions about the Aphotic II template in this forum. If you have problems with Kunena when you use that template, please refer your problems to the author of that template. Support is only offered if people use the Blue Eagle template.

Are you using AceSEF? Have you tried disabling AceSEF to see if your breadcrumbs problem is resolved? I also think that AceSEF is responsible for your "active link" issues, too, but I could be wrong.

Good day to you too sozzled,

based on your reply I disabled AceSEF and reverted back to Blue Eagle.

On breadcrumbs is only showing up to Home > Forum. Its fine like this...

Active link and breadcrumbs work now but this made me wonder as I installed AceSEF to change component url when going to boards as the url when clicking on the board was like /com_kunena/etc etc. Cant remember how it was exactly.

Now after uninstalling AceSEF the url for a board called Test is www.sitename.com/forum/test . Is this how it should be or there are leftover from AceSEF? How the proper URL for boards should look like IF everything is on default?

Cache was cleaned and purged.

Read and follow the advice in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) . You don't need any other "search engine optimisers" if you configure Joomla SEO properly. ;)

Thank you!

I had done that before installing any SEF optimizer but probably forgot to clean cache or something else was messing up which apparently now its not.

Thanks again. Consider this solved!!!
