OK, so I decided to build an entire new site on Joomla 1.6.3 so I could get rid of all the old junk on my old site. It's an entirely new site with new database and fresh installed Kunena 1.6.4. Config report above is for my current old Joomla 1.5.23.

Is there a process to get all my forum posts and such from my Joomla 1.5.23 site to my 1.6.3 site? I know the tables are different in Joomla 1.6.3 but somebody somewhere must have done this already?? I have successfully moved my users to the new site and they all have the same user ID in Joomla.

thanks in advance for any help.

Hello,

Jupgrade 1.1.x is able to handle this, it support kunena migration and Joomla! migration, i advise to use Joomla 1.6.5.

Please backup your site before to something.

Not quite sure this is the correct answer. I have already built my Joomla 1.6.3 site and moved/migrated all my other data, articles, users and such. I only need to move my Kunena and then I'm done.

Does Jupgrade allow me to migrate JUST the Kunena or do I have to do the entire site?

thanks.

Just copy kunena_* tables and reinstall kunena on your Joomla! 1.6 installation.

My website is joomla 1.5.23 with kunena 1.6.5
I want to have joomla 1.7 (if possible, if not then joomla 1.6) with kunena 1.6.5

Do I follow your instructions quoted to keep the kunena 1.6.5 forum information the same ?
