Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

By default Kunena doesn't allow guests to view user profiles. There is an option in configuration to allow/disallow users list view for guests - but it works only for a user list view, not a user profile. Is there any way to allow guests to view profiles using standard Kunena option? Or any hacks?

G'day, fatseo, and welcome to Kunena.

The standard Kunena installation does not allow guests to view Kunena user profiles. This was added as a security feature because most users preferred it that way.

You can, however, change this: Forum Configuration » Security » Security Settings » Allow Guests to see User Profiles = No

Thanks, this option missed in 1.6.3 so I upgraded to 1.6.4 and found it.

But, unfortunately, with core SEF turned on it doesn't work and still redirects guest to login page :( With SEF turned off it works.

Different issue. Have you searched the forum for an answer? If no answer, would you like to start a new topic in the Support category and post your K 1.6 configuration report so that we can investigate it?
