Every time a new post or reply comes in... Every super administrator is getting an email about it.

Yes there is a way to turn it off. Can you please tell us which version of Kunena are you using? I would like to move this topic to a more appropriate category for you.

We advise you to upgrade to the latest stable public release, K 1.6.3 now, please.

To turn off these notifications, I suggest you use the following settings:

(1) Forum Configuration » Users » User Related » Post-subscription checked by default? = No. It may not be only that your super administrators are receiving emails about every post, your users may be automatically subscribed to every topic they post a message in and they are being notified of every update to those topics, too.

(2) Forum Configuration » Security » Security Settings » E-mail Administrators = No.

Does it mean that users will still be able to see the topics they are subscribed for in their profiles but NOT receive email notifications?

K 1.6.4 (which is not yet publicly available at this time) will provide some improvement in this area, yes.
