Question being able to post in categories?

hi,
i want to know if it would be possible, by any mean, to use a category simply as a "mother section".
i mean, my forum being divided into 4 categories in which only one is divided in two sections, it's a bit a pain in the a.. to have to put, in a category, a section of exactly the same name...
let me explain better:
here's the tree of my forum:

category A
category B
category C
-section C1
-section C2
category D

and to make things work, i have to do this:

category A
-section A
category B
-section B
category C
-section C1
-section C2
category D
-section D

which is a bit absurd, sections A B and D being exactly the same names as their categories...
what i would like is simply not to have to put sections in categories which are not devided... is it possible ?

Before we get too buried in the detail, it might help if we sorted out the difference in the terminology between sections and categories and, most importantly, you cannot post into sections. Please read Sections, Categories and sub-Categories (Part 1) . I hope this explanation helps.

so i guess my best move would be to create all my sections as categories, and then create sub categories? i think this might lead the "non used to" reader to get wrong but well... :huh:

You create sections. Then you create categories within sections. People cannot post into sections. People post into categories.
