This is a Javascript issue. Kunena needs Mootools 1.2.4 to run. This is also a Rockettheme template issue. Our concern is to make sure that Kunena works and we do not want Kunena to cause problems with other Joomla extensions if it can be avoided. But sometimes these things are unavoidable and sometimes problems manifest themselves in many different ways.

You have several choices:

(1) Try disabling the System - Mootools Upgrade plugin (and you'll probably find that it will cause problems for you on the Kunena page - like it will make the BBcode toolbar disappear - but this may make the Rockettheme template behave properly on every page except for the Kunena page.

(2) Apply more pressure on Rockettheme for an answer. You paid for the support, so you should continue to ask for an answer.

(3) Consider an alternative template.

(4) Consider the possibility that the Javascript conflict that you have with your Rockettheme template may not even be caused by Kunena. It could be another Joomla extension that has loaded a Javascript function that is incompatible with the one needed by your template.

(5) Are there other ways that you can generate the "Read on" link that doesn't involve fancy-looking widgets?

(1) Tried this already - no difference.

(2) Two reminders to them to take a look but no response - zilch! As per other complaints on their forum - awful Tech Support at RT. :(

(3) Not possible - effectively starting again from scratch for a minor rendering issue.

(4) Problem occurs ONLY when a Kunena page is loaded - no other pages show the problem and no other 3rd party component/plugin/module is loaded with kunena exclusively.

(5) Used captured images to show the arrows instead of RT Rokcandy macro - issue (but not the problem) solved using this workaround - Thanks for the suggestion. :)
