Is it possible to disable the "moderate user" function for moderators and global moderators and only have it available for admins? Or just completely disable it... We don't want our forum staff to ban people...

I am currently not able to check this due to missing K1.6 installation but in 1.5 a user being admin had always all options.
So even if you disable it the admins are still able to ban people and the moderator are not.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

It's not what I mean.

What I mean is that for forum moderators/global forum moderators, there is a button "Moderate" and "Moderator Topic" I don't want the moderators be able to use this function because then they can ban people from the forums/main site and we do not want that our moderators are able to do this.

Hello,

Actually, it's not possible to do that the moderator button is showed for all moderators(including admins), maybe we can add a configuration setting for that in a future version.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Okay, I just commented out the line that made it in the core system... I hope it will be a configuration setting in the near future :) some moderators think they're special and go banning users... Not a good thing..

But thank you very much for your reply and I hope this function will be made in the near future!
Thanks for making such a great system!

Commenting lines out in source isnt a good thing because of GPL. Now also admins are not able to ban.
Try to write a plugin checking if the user has enough rights and if not it redirects him to the previous page.

Guess that would be the smarter version.

If you dont know how to write a plugin ask me in about two days then I will do that for you but currently I am to busy.^^
