Thank You!

1.)What is a sub-category in kunena. ?
I have came across only categories,forums,sub-forums only

path 1:
Education(Category)->Science(Main-forum)->IT(Sub)->Programming(Sub)->Java(Sub)->New to Java(sub)
path 2:
Education(Category)->Science(Main-forum)->IT(Sub)->Programming(Sub)->Java(Sub)->J2SE(sub)
path 3:
Education(Category)->Science(Main-forum)->IT(Sub)->Programming(Sub)->Java(Sub)->J2ME(sub)

I want to block posting inside [Science,IT,Programming,Java] only

2.) Can we create categories(Separate block as seen on first page of a kunena forum) inside a forum/sub-forum in kunena just like in phpbb3 ?

The terminology changed midway through K 1.5 - it was previously very confusing and the terms did not correspond with standard web-based forum usage elsewhere.

The terms are explained in Sections, Categories, sub-Categories (Part 1) . I also repeated the message in my 'blog, Kunena 1.6 - Sections, Categories and all that jazz . Old habits are hard to change but, we hope, over time people will feel more comfortable using the terms categories (instead of forums) and sub-categories (instead of child boards).

I hope that, by looking at the references I've just given, I think you will quickly discover the answer to your second question yourself. If not, please let us know. :)

Locking is currently the only solution as sozzled said.

For K1.7 I've thought of making sections available in everywhere.
