The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

I want to be able to change the joomla template when going into each category. So, for instance, when someone goes into the "Car Forum" category, the design of the website changes to a car design. If they go into the "Motorcycle Forum", the website design changes to a motorcycle theme and so on.

Is this possible?

Thanks for your help!

I would say that actually is possible to do with Kunena 1.6. This is a Joomla function.

Two important things to do this:
1. You MUST create menu to each category you want to assign joomla template
2. You Joomla templates must have option to assign menu

After you have created menu to category go to template manager and assign template you want to this menu. Repeat this for all categories. When you go to specific category your joomla template will change.

That's all
Hope this helps

I have 50 templates and this does not seem to work, I assgin a template but when I click on the menu item it goes to the forum with no template. Any ideas on what I need to look at?

UPDATE UPDATE!!! it was my system that was stoping it from working, someone had hacked the code so that version 1.5 KUNENA always used an empty template so it would go into an IFRAME. Sorry for the error post
