I am using the wysiwyg editor that is build into every modern browser now, works pretty good with Kunena. Just had to edit Kunena's praser and couple other php files to make it work and also add my own Javascript to turn it on. I will post a screenshot soon B) .

Adding the editor is very easy. You can do this with a single function call from joomla.

The issue is the backend and the fact that your install will be incompatible with all future upgrades as you will store that data in a different format than currently designed in 1.6

I would also caution the security of this hack. It takes quite a bit of hardening to make it work right and securely.

We have it on the list of enhancements for the upcoming releases, even a working copy in our 2.0 trunk.

If you would like to help us with that work, your assistance would be very welcome!

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)
