Question [Merged topic] Miscellaneous questions about K 1.6

Im wondering, having never done it on any kunena installation before, how in 1.6 RC1 I need to make settings changes to enable public posting in only one particular forum category with captcha protection, and if its even possible.

Also, does anyone know if the forum profile menu plugin for Jomsocial has been updated yet to work with Kunena 1.6?

Still not possible, will be possible when Joomla 1.6 become stable.

Yes, this plugin is updated and works well with Kunena 1.6 (as you can see here at kunena.com )

Ah ok, thats the one I am using, not working well.

When any liks are clicked I get a page devoid of any template styling, just a white page with the unstyled menus etc.

on this site the path used is :

/forum/myprofile/showset

whereas my site seems to be trying to use :

component/kunena/myprofile/showset.html

this difference seems to exist for all the links in the menu plugin.

Could it be the forum is set as the default frontpage of the site in the Joomla main menu?

Hi, you are right, this one is not updated.

We are just about decide how to do with this.

In the meantime you can use Joomla menu to create links to kunena pages.
