Idea Latest Topics knows user hasn't read topic - but link takes use to last topic entry

The "Latest Topics" output of the "Module Kunena Latest" module is sweet, but when following the hyperlink, users are taken to the very last post in the topic, not the "next unread" post in the topic.

The module can tell where the user left off, since the "unread" indicator must use that information...

Is there a way to have the Latest Topics hyperlink set to "last unread +1" instead of "very last post in the topic?"

Just to be sure that we understand your question, it may help if you use some picture to demonstrate the issue. I'm not sure if everything is working the way that it should or whether there's something wrong in your configuration or something wrong in the design.

So, to help us, let's start with the configuration settings for the Kunena component and the settings you're using for the Kunena Latest module (a screen dump will do for the latter). After that it might help to see what's going on when users click whatever-they're-clicking and show where they're been taken to as a result. How does that sound to you?

Here are the three links and their differences:

1. Recent Topics -- Hyperlink goes to beginning of the topic. Link is of the form: .../forum/10-the-silver-screen/495-movie-recommendations
2. Recent Topics (##NEW) -- The (##NEW) hyperlink goes to the last read (or is it first unread?) message in the topic. Link is of the form: .../forum/10-the-silver-screen/495-movie-recommendations#947
3. Latest Topics -- The hyperlink is of the form: .../forum/10-the-silver-screen/495-movie-recommendations#976 (where 976 is the last post in the topic

Having the module present regardless of the view is very convenient, but only the Recent Topics (##NEW) link gets the user where they prefer to go.
