We don't want topic icons. We have 1.5 and there is no way to disable, but do newer versions have this as an option within the configuration?

In K 1.7.1 you disable the topics icons with:

Forum Configuration » Frontend » Look and Feel » Selectable Topic Icons = No

I have a similar question, but when you change option to "No" generic icons appears.

Is there any way to disable them at all?

If you use the setting

Forum Configuration » Frontend » Look and Feel » Selectable Topic Icons = No

when users start a new topic they cannot choose a topic icon. Where else do you want to "disable" topic icons? Would you like to show us a picture, please, and perhaps a link to your forum frontend so that we can see this problem for ourselves? Thank you.

I would also like to be able to turn off the Topic Icon completely.

I have set this:
Forum Configuration » Frontend » Look and Feel » Selectable Topic Icons = No

This stops people from being able to select an icon, but icons still show up once the post has been created.

Take a look at this link:
www.pmgconnect.com/forum

Take a look at the attachment. How do I turn off the icons that are highlighted.

I could probably hide this with CSS but it would be much better if there was in the CMS.

Thanks,
