Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Hi, as my post topic says , I'm curious about this feature, if it is available in kunena as it is in phpbb3 forum.

To elaborate, what i mean is, in phpbb3 you have this option to make a forum category viewable to public but when they click it, it says access denied. So there are two options in backend for it in permissions. One is for View forum, other is access forum.

I wonder is this option available in kunena? I really need this type of option for my gaming site as making the forum category viewable to guests will tempt them to register to access the forum.

For example a forum category "strategy guides", while I dont want them to read the guides but i want them to know the topic name so they know that it is available in forum. And when they register they can view the content of the post. same goes with game replays.

I hope it clarifies what I mean.

I need to know to decide what forum should i go for phpbb3 for my joomla site or this joomla native forum.
