Question J1.7.1 and kunena 1.7: kunena search not working

When installing and activating it, it causes my std joomla search module to fail - it displays just a blank page. Disabling kunena search makes joomla search work again.

Any help/suggestions?

Server error logs should give the error (read last entries just after hitting the blank page). Otherwise its very hard to tell what fails.

No entries in server log. However when installing the plugin I get this:
JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /home/xxxxx/public_html/tmp/install_4e8e2e15c1f1f/languages/da-DK.plg_search_kunenasearch.ini

Open the zip and edit xml file in the root folder. Remove this line:

Ok, thx. That took away the error when installing but it is still dispaying a blank page when I enable the plugin and goes to frontend and type soemthing in the search and hit enter. That error is there ...

OK, so there's something else as well in Joomla 1.7...

Joomla search is not very well implemented (it can only handle very small result sets), so I don't think that you will loose much if you do not use the plugin for now. Joomla 2.5 will probably have much improved search based on JXtended search component, which already has Kunena plugin.
