Kunena 5.2 RC3 Released (29 Nov 2020)

The Kunena team is thrilled to announce the third public release candidate of Kunena 5.2, a native Joomla extension for Joomla 3.9. This is a development release and should be only be used for testing; this version is not recommended for live websites at this stage.

The purpose of this release is to encourage testing by downloading, installing and identifying any problems or shortcomings that people may discover. K 5.2.0 RC3 is stable and we are aware that people will discover defects. We encourage you to use the forum to report defects, as soon as they are discovered, so that the development team can work through the problems before the release of K 5.1 as a stable product. Reporting defects does not mean that the problems can or will be fixed. The Kunena team is looking forward to hearing your feedback on how well we have achieved our design goals.

You can have all BBCode tags in your signatures. Including images...

First of all answer this like I have no Idea.

Signature Files - Where do I find them to install my own signature
2. Once there how do I add a link to another website - Link in signature
3. How can I up load a image with a link to another site in the signature file.
4. Signature files - Want to charge a fee to up load a image with a link in signature area or charge just to add a signature.

Your questions 1-3 were answered previously in Matias' reply. There are no signature files, as such, in Kunena. There is only the Kunena profile edit facility that allows you to add your own "signature" information; that's what I use here (see below this message).

Q4 is not possible in K 1.7. Sorry.

We are using Jomsocial as profile management, if I want to edit my signature, go to forum profile add a signature, do I have to use BBC code to add.

Pictures or Logo
Bold
Color
Url links

2. Can you provide the code for the above?

If so this would be complicated for users, is there an option to them instead of trying to explain to them BBcode.

3... Additionally is there a way to make them provide an x amount of post or points before they can use signatures.

4. We are adding signatures in jomsoical we have a forum tab, go to edit profile add a signature are there other ways to do this, which automates the BB coding to make it easier for users who do not know BBC.

As most members are not familiar with BBc is there other options for signatures that automate the process.

As it appears using Jomsocial as a profile management, go to jomsocial profiles, click forum, cilck profiles, go to signature and add. Only if you want to be bold, add url, change color, or add logo or picture you have to add BBC.

This would seem to be daunting for a lot of users. Is there an alternative?

Also if you provided an exact example using BBC Using the following

1. URL
2. Logo/Picture and can we control the size of this file.
3. Bold
4. Font Color - and can we control which colors.

Use a complete example for the above, so we can provide this to our members.

Again, I would prefer there was an automated way for members to create signatures. Is there one?

No, there are currently no other options available at this time (see msg #2 in this topic).
