I have a question when I create a new category and I go to setting tab.

It has a public access level to choose but It's not an access level of Joomla,

It's a group id of Joomla. I'm so confuse why it's not be access level like the name

public access level. If It's not, I can define access level on category in Kunena.

Please help!

kunena 1.7 can be use in joomla 1.6 or not? and It'll lock category with access level in Joomla, right?

On the first question, I invite you to read Plans for Kunena 1.7 . On the second question, categories are locked, as they have always been locked, by a setting controlled by the Kunena Category Manager. See Sections, Categories, sub-Categories (Part 2) - advanced setup for special groups) .
