Question "Report Configuration Settings" not working

I have recently installed Kunena 1.6.* in Joomla 1.6 and have a few issues. One being that I cannot report my configuration settings. I receive this error message "Fatal error: Call to undefined method JFactory::getTemplate() in C:\xampp\htdocs\administrator\components\com_kunena\admin.kunena.php on line 3053".

(The other known issues are I cannot upload files/images in a forum (MySQL error) and when I click the RSS button I get another fatal error report. These issues I will post under separate forum topics.)

Can you please offer a solution to resolve this issue with the intranet site I am creating?

As a short-term solution, I would advise you to seriously consider J! 1.5.22 as the basis for constructing your intranet site solution.

There have been a number of reports about issues with installing or using K 1.6 in Joomla 1.6. Some of these issues are show-stoppers if users are considering Joomla 1.6 to run their production websites. Many of these issues will be fixed in future releases of Kunena and Joomla. For the time being, we are asking users to continue to use the K 1.6 test reports category to report issues that that they have with K 1.6 and J! 1.6.

Thank you for your report about not being able to generate your K 1.6 configuration report. As you will see by browsing the K 1.6 test reports category, other people have not encountered this problem. I do not have an explanation as to why you cannot generate your K 1.6 configuration report. Have you tried this on a test site that only has J! 1.6 and K 1.6.3 and nothing else?

Can you please be more specific. Do you have 1.6.1, 1.6.2 or 1.6.3 installed with this issue?

1.6.* does not tell us what we need to know, as this issues should have been resolved in 1.6.3

Thx!

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

Hi Sozzled, Thanks for your response. I am hoping to stick with J!1.6 for the time being in order to (hopefully) contribute with any issues at this early stage of it's release (it's just an intranet after all). Even though I only installed Kunena a couple of days ago I don't have the latest version of it! I am using 1.6.2, so I will upgrade to 1.6.3 and see if there is any difference.
As for testing the site with only J!1.6 and K1.6.3 installed, it's all a very new installation and Kunena Forum is the only component that I have installed. Is this what you mean by 'nothing else' or would you recommend I test disabling a few plug-ins etc?

By "nothing else" I mean absolutely nothing else. I mean that you take J! 1.6 straight out-of-the box and K 1.6.3 straight out-of-the box and you tell us whether you had any problems. That's what I mean. :)
