Hello!

I installed a fresh Joomla 1.5.20 with Kunena 1.6 RC3

After a little bit of configuration, my front and my backend displayed only white pages, no text.

I deleted the mysql database and the entire joomla installation.
Installed Joomla 1.5.20 again.
Installed Kunena 1.6 RC3 again with some addons:
kunenalatest, kunenalogin, kunenastats, kunenadiscuss, kunenasearch, jfirephp.
After that, I can call frontend. The page is displaying frontend text. But after calling domain/administrator
the FRONTEND page is displayed. So I can not call my backend!
Please help!
Is Kunena 1.6 RC3 too tricky even to test it?

Andreas

A white page usually means there is a php error happening. It depends on what other components and modules you have installed. In Kunena 1.6 itself we have not seen any such white pages. What we do have seen is other modules and plugins that crash. A front end white page usually means a system plugin is crashing.

Please provide your php error log and your configuration report.

Never ever should you have to delete joomla installs or tables.

The php error log with show you the issue most certainly right away.

One more thing: Any chance you installed jSecure on that site? It will redirect the backend to a front end screen if you don't supply the proper security token.

I had the same problem and found that it was my php memory limit setting. I increased the memory limit to 32M and Kunena displays just fine now. Might be something you want to look at.
