Hello,

We currently have a major error on out site. Whenever a user tries to post some code or text within a [code*] tag, he/she/it only gets a error page with the following text:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server.
Apache/1.3.36 Server at openelec.tv Port 80

index.php is 644 and webserver user.

What can cause this?

My guess would be that you have mod_security installed and enabled on your server. Most text within [code] tags will get caught by it and apache will return a non specific error message like the one you are seeing.

Please check the apache error log to see what mod_security rule is causing the issue. We have been trying to run with mod_security, but have ultimately turned it off, because there are just way too many rules that get triggered by example code posted on the forums.

Hope this helps!

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

Thank you for your help. I could surely suggest that the server were the problem. Its not the one with the latest packages, nor the best configuration.

Thanks again :)
