Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Hoorah ! 1.6RC1 actually worked on my test server without CSS errors. Great job gang !

Encountering two errors in IE7 & IE8:

- The "Quick Reply" button doesnt work.

- Trying to attach multiple files gives a Javascript error. It attaches the first file, then throws out this:

Attachments flat out dont work in IE6.. but who really cares ? ;)

Works fine under Firefox 3.6.8 & Opera 10.60 though.

IE6 is not supported for K 1.6 and that's it.

The Quick Reply misbehaviour (as well as other Javascript-driven features) is almost certainly the result of a conflict with another Joomla extension (component/module/plugin/template/language) and you need to look for the source. Try running Kunena and Joomla in debug mode to see if there's some information to throw more light on the cause. Search these forums for "Quick Reply" to see what else people have discovered in the past.

didnt @quila say that the js errors in IE7 and IE8 were a known issue with Kunena RC1?

still wish that i can write my forum signature through a jomsocial plugin and do it from my jomsocial profile :(

Yes there are some known issues with IE browsers and js.
IE8
- Preview dont work always

If you see some other error in IE8 be sure to run it without "Compatibility Mode"!!

IE7
- Quick Reply dont work
- Preview dont work
- Multi-attachment dont work
- RSS link dont work
