If you want to have a URL like //http:<domain-name>/forums then give your menu item the alias "forums" ;)

That's exactly what I did.

In Kunena Backend - Kunena Control Panel - there is a button called: Create Menu

This wil create a new Kunena-menu:

Main-menu
Top-menu
user-menu
Kunena-menu

Did you create this new menu structure in backend?

Nope didn't do this.

Just created a menu through Kunena's backend and my URLs are now fine.

The documentation might need to explicitly say that we're talking of Kunena's component backend and not Joomla's backend.

Thank you anyways !

Woops, I talked to fast.

I deleted the "Kunena Menu" and when I try to re-create it through the "Create menu" button, here is what I get :

The menu hasn't been created, even though I get the message telling me it was.

Could be they are still in your trashcan, try to empty your menu trashcan and try again.
