There seems to be a bug in Polls. "Change your vote" is not working. It gives back only: "Please wait before voting again". But when I finally got my vote changed it destroyd all other existing votes. (Poll had ben taken part in different computers and different IP-addresses). That happened when I tested to change vote as a regular user.

Here is my Configuration settings:

I managed to get this error repeated here in my "old" topic in Playgroud:
www.kunena.com/playground/fairground/51507-poll-test

Before my Vote change there was following:
Yes - they work well 4 40% Nope - not yet 3 30% I don´t know? 3 30% Total number of voters:10 ( fxstein roland76 Admata peetree21 @quila Hurr1c4n3 hkymre mjanzen128 BaB Cerberus )

How can we fix this?

What I'm about to write is probably not very helpful. I feel that it was/is a mistake to allow users to change their vote. If you don't get the problem when you don't try to change your vote, then don't try to change your vote. Pretty simple, really, isn't it?

We elect governments via the ballot box. Three years later we're wondering how we got such a bad government. Well, the answer is that we elected those guys to government three years ago and, after you vote, you can't go back again and say "Sorry, but I wanted to vote for the 'other' guy!" No. You vote; that's it.

If you're not going to take the vote seriously, then accept the consequences of the poll.

The original design for K 1.6 was to include a voting feature. That's all that the original design specified. After the feature was added, someone else suggested that it would be a good idea to allow people to change their vote. The software, that had been working well up to this point, was then changed to accommodate this late request. The software is now broken.

We should have stayed with the original design. That's my opinion.

What would you rather have, peetree21? A poll that lacks the flexibility to give people the opportunity to change their vote (but doesn't lose the votes already cast by other people)? Or would you like a vote that incorporates this wonderful flexibility but, every time some changes their mind, you have to start the whole polling process all over again? If it was a choice between these two options, I know what I would be voting for. ;)
