And its default for Joomla 1.6
We have taken the step that many devs need to do as well - update many year old outdated code. If your template or app still runs on mootools 1.11, the developers need to spend a little time and upgrade it to 1.2
mootools 1.2 works find with jquery (as you can see here on this site - jomSocial is cuurrently still on jquery). Only old mootools 1.11 code will have to get upgraded.
We took the time to do that, other developers will have to do the same.

Nope, sorry. You are breaking very recent code, that only use tabs in the backend. Yes, just Joomla built in tabs. That may be the issues you are talking about that are being worked out by Joomla team, but ATM installing Kunena 1.6 probably breaks many extensions. We have taken the step that many devs need to do as well - update many year old outdated code. Second, we don't need to update our code to 1.2, but actually make it so that it works on both 1.1 and 1.2, which is is not as simple as it seems.
But again biggest issue is that basic Joomla API is broken by including this plugin.
So this is only an alpha version of Kunena and therefore just for testing purposes, but you should be aware. At least, the plugin should be disabled in the backend.

In the interim, remember that both this plug-in and Kunena 1.6 are not final. We wanted to start using the plug-in early on so we could work out the Kunena-specific bugs.
