Question Kuena 1.6 Install error

I had the same, just deleted the string in DB, then it said is installed ok. But afterwords i get this error on the site:
Catchable fatal error: Object of class CKunenaConfig could not be converted to string in /mounted-storage/home56c/sub004/sc18899-CYAT/xxxxxxxxx/administrator/components/com_kunena/libraries/user.php on line 68
And that line says: $id = JUserHelper::getUserId ( ( string ) $identifier );

Maybe it will be fixed in k1.6

how can i reproduce this issue ?

is this xamp or wamp or alike ????

A discussion topic with the subject "Kunena 1.6 installation error" worries me because of the temptation by users to jump in with I have the same problem ...

I hope that, as soon as the latest problem has been resolved, this topic can be locked as quickly as possible.

Far too little information (about version build number, server platform, etc.) is being given in some of these reports. Please, when you report bugs/defects/errors/problems: include the details of the specific build number in your messages.

As we have also said on many, many occasions: while we'll do our best to help users with their problems - it helps you and it helps us - K 1.6 ALPHA is not fully supported. Because the software is still evolving, we may never be able to fully solve issues involving some of the early builds.

Here's some feedback, as I've encountered the same SQL Exception error trying to install on my test server.

Server is W2003 R2 32-bit running IIS 6.0 with the latest updates from MS.
FastCGI 1.5
PHP 5.3.1
MySQL 5.1.47
Joomla 1.5.18 Stable
Kunena 1.5.12 Stable

Attempting to update to Kunena 1.6 Alpha2 I get the same error code:
... Failed Uncaught Exception: Duplicate column name 'lastvote' SQL=ALTER TABLE `jos_kunena_polls_users` MODIFY votes int(11), ADD lastvote int(11)


I've found a work around to get it installed.
1. Installed com_kunena_v1.6.0-ALPHA_NOT_FOR_PRODUCTION_b2587_2010-05-30 first (successful upgrade 1.5.12 to 1.6 B2587)
2. Installed com_kunena_v1.6.0-ALPHA2_NOT_FOR_PRODUCTION_b2806_2010-06-21 to update (successful upgrade 1.6 B2587 to 1.6A2 B2806)

However I get "file copy" errors installing 1.6A and no CSS/theme.. (same thing occures after installing 1.6A2).
