In CB, there is an option to use username, email address or either of those two as the login ID. This integration is working correctly in K1.5.12. However, it is broken in the current alpha version.

Re: 1.6.0-Kunena 1.6.0-BETA1 | 2010-07-09 | 2950

The integration with Community Builder is still an issue. I have all of the integration items set to "auto detect". The integration with Avatars and profiles work fine.

BUT the integration with CB's login options does not work.

CB has a general configuration called login field type.

Login can be by username + password, username or email + password, or email + password. The CB login module also adapts accordingly.

This does not seem to be functioning even if I change the integration option to specifically say Community Builder.

This latest build has made a small step forward in the CB integration but it's still not complete. In Kunena, if you click on the "lost password" link, it now takes you to the CB comprofiler module to go thru CB's password retrieval process. That works fine.

However, the login fields - username and password still don't match the parameters set in CB. In my installation, the login is set to use Email only, and that option is not recognized by Kunena.

Otherwise, things are looking good with K 1.6 IMHO.

I noticed a similar problem working on another user's website. K 1.5.12.

Could be something to do with CB 1.2.2. What do the folks at Joomlapolis have to say about this issue? I sorted out my issue by allowing login by "Username or Email"

Even so, the CB login function works (with Kunena) if you use the Username-only method or the "Username or Email" method but not the Email-only method. Again, I have to ask: What do the folks at Joomlapolis have to say about this issue?
