Hi all,

Just some more results from our Kunena 1.6 RC2 testing at Science File ( www.sciencefile.org ).

LATEST MODULE IGNORES FORUM PERMISSIONS

1. We created a forum called Administration with public access set to "Nobody" and admin access set to "Public Backend" (+ child groups).

2. We posted a message in the forum while logged in as Administrator. We then logged out. The Administration forum is one of those selected to view in the Latest module config.

3. We expected that the Latest module, which is set to display the 50 most recent posts, would not display the post in our Administration board when we were not logged in. But it does.

4. In other words, although, when logged out, we cannot see the Administration forum in the forum index, we can still view its posts by using the Latest module. Surely, if a forum has public access set to "Nobody" then the module should not display posts in that forum to anybody who is not logged in? What I expected to happen - logically - is that the Latest module should respect forum permissions, even if the forum concerned is selected in the module config to display its posts. That way, those in the "Public Backend" groups would be able to see the posts, but anybody else not - which is what we are after.

LOGIN ERROR WITH CB

1. We logged into the front end of our site using the CB login module.

2. We displayed the forum's 50 most recent posts using the Latest module.

3. We waited until our session had expired and clicked on a post in the list.

4. Kunena asked us to log in, in a login screen at the top of the forum index, but refused to accept our username and password. We tested this several times, just to make sure we were typing them correctly, but we got the same result each time.

5. To log in, we had to use the CB login module again, which we did without problems.

Apart from these issues, we are really happy with RC2's stability and useability. Thanks again for a fantastic product.

Hope this is useful

Kind regards

Andy.

Can you please separate these two issues into two separate topics, please? As a suggestion, create a topic for the Community Builder category to deal with the Community Builder issues (or look in that category to see if your question has been answered) and change the subject title to reflect the one issue that you want to discuss.

Thank you.
