Question "Create User Account" option not appearing

Hi there,
I'm running Kunena 16.2 on a joomla site and just set up my forum. Everything seemed to be working ok, so I sent an email invitation out to users, only to get a response from one of them that they can't see how to log in. Turns out the "create user account" link has disappeared from every page. I don't know of anything I changed to make this disappear and can't figure out how to make it reappear.

I'm still pretty new to all of this stuff, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have my security settings set to "allow guests to post/write" no and "registered users only" no.

Here's the link to the page in case that helps:

Thanks!

Hello,

do you have changed any setting in module login ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I don't think I have. Where do I access the login module? I don't know how to find it so I don't think I've changed it!

Also, here's my Configuration Settings Report, I notice on the final line Kunena login in disabled or not installed, is that my problem?

Thanks!

(1) Please read the very important information about Joomla 1.5 and "legacy mode" . Do not use legacy mode.

(2) What is your setting Global Configuration » System » User Settings » Allow User Registration ?

That fixed it! Thank you!!! I changed my global settings and now registration is allowed again. I didn't even know that joomla settings were related to this. Thanks a million!

Hi again,

It appears I spoke too soon! Getting rid of legacy mode and changing my user settings in Global Configuration Settings to allow user registration worked temporarily, but for some reason after a few hours "allow user registration" flips back to "no". This means that the "create user account" option also disappears too. Any advice?

Thanks!

Either you changed the Global Configuration settings or someone or something else (using Super Administrator privilege) changed the Global Configuration settings. There is nothing in Kunena that can do this. This is not a Kunena issue.
