Kunena 5.2 Beta 1 Released (24 Sep 2020)

The Kunena team is thrilled to announce the first public beta release of Kunena 5.2, a native Joomla extension for Joomla 3.9. This is a development release and should be only be used for testing; this version is not recommended for live websites at this stage.

The purpose of this release is to encourage testing by downloading, installing and identifying any problems or shortcomings that people may discover. K 5.2.0 B1 is stable and we are aware that people will discover defects. We encourage you to use the forum to report defects, as soon as they are discovered, so that the development team can work through the problems before the release of K 5.1 as a stable product. Reporting defects does not mean that the problems can or will be fixed. The Kunena team is looking forward to hearing your feedback on how well we have achieved our design goals.

Question 150 "limit" emails sent from website--"my account hacked"

9 years 9 months ago - 9 years 9 months ago #1 by volito
Ok just received an email from my server saying that my email limit was reach from one of my sub-domains. I am assuming they got access to my server from Kunena anyway to confirm or stop this.....

Or point me to a solution topic...

here is my hosting companies email

"The emails are being sent from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

There are many many emails being sent to yahoo, msn, and hotmail addresses. It seems that This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. has been hacked. I recommend changing the password for the email account, and locking down any scripts on the website with validation / verification forms.

I also recommend running virus / rootkit / spyware scans on any computers you have used to access your Hostmonster account. "

Also this

"Mail appears to be sending from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Our mail logs show connection from remote SMTP Indicating that the email account is sending from a mail program. If you are not sending this mail then this email account has been compromised. I recommend changing the email password. At 2010-11-28 05:09:30 MST the account sent a single email message addressed to over 200 people. After 150 emails it began to fail due to the outbound email limit. "

any idea what that means besides someone used a mail program to send emails using my account......
