Looking for a Template was created by joey2509
My site wide Template does not seem to work that well for kunena, it has a lorge right side column and it kinda squeezes the forums. Anyway, is there a templete that has a right side column (around 120 ro 140 px.) that I might be able to use?
thanks

There are a few things you can do to maximise the amount of space available for displaying messages. You could, for example, position the avatar image display above the messages (or below them) instead of to the left or the right. Apart from that, there's not a lot more you can do if the narrowness of your screen template doesn't allow sufficient width to display text.
Many people, when they choose a site template, don't consider their needs in advance. Think of your site template as a bucket in which you want to pour water. The smaller the bucket, the less water you can put into it. The bucket has to contain the modules you want to display on your web page and the component. The bucket sits inside a bigger container - the web browser window - that may or may not contain "padding" (like a screen background, for example). The more padding you have, the less room there is for the bucket ... or you need to use a smaller bucket.
Typically, in a 3-column template, the ratio of left:component:right is 20:60:20. This means that you are allowing 60% of the total screen width for the component display (in our case, we're talking about Kunena). This probably means that you should be able to display around 20 (5-character) words per line before the text wraps to the next line assuming that your browser window is maximised to the screen width.
I've illustrated this in the first of the following two diagrams.
In the second diagram above, I've shown what happens when you choose a template that "wastes" 25% either side for a background display. This reduces the effective width, that you have for your Joomla content, to 50% of the screen window. Assuming the same ratios of 20:60:20 for Joomla content, 50% loss of available space means you now only have 35 available for displaying the component. You can now only show about 15 words per line. But when you lose 50% for "whatever", you can't use a ratio of 20:60:20 any more, either. (More likely it's 25:50:25 which means you lose even more)
There's only so much that you can cram into available space. If you pad out what's available with pretty backgrounds ... well, that's your choice.
If I were in your shoes, I'd choose a different site template. No matter which way you cut it, I don't think that a different Kunena template isn't going to help you with your problem. The only way you can fit more words per line of screen display, is to use a smaller font size. Too small and your users won't be able to read it.

Go to Components » Kunena Forum » Template Manager. Make sure that the Blue Eagle template is [still] your default template. Select "Blue Eagle" template and change the option Profile Position to suit your needs.joey2509 wrote: ... how do I change the position of users avatar?
