Locking forums? was created by otips
Hi All,

We are a mental help support forum called www.turn2me.org .
Safety is paramount and we do not always have moderators online, is it possible to make the forums read-only from midnight to 8am?

Or make forums read-only when a moderator is not logged in?

Many thanks.
Oisin

Yes, it is possible to do this. You need to run a cronjob to change one a setting in each forum's category and thus lock them. However, I don't know the specifics of how to write the script for the cronjob but maybe someone else can do this for you.

From the looks of things, this would be something you should consider engaging a professional PHP expert to do for you as a paid job.
