Kunena 5.2 Beta 1 Released (Yesterday)

The Kunena team is thrilled to announce the first public beta release of Kunena 5.2, a native Joomla extension for Joomla 3.9. This is a development release and should be only be used for testing; this version is not recommended for live websites at this stage.

The purpose of this release is to encourage testing by downloading, installing and identifying any problems or shortcomings that people may discover. K 5.2.0 B1 is stable and we are aware that people will discover defects. We encourage you to use the forum to report defects, as soon as they are discovered, so that the development team can work through the problems before the release of K 5.1 as a stable product. Reporting defects does not mean that the problems can or will be fixed. The Kunena team is looking forward to hearing your feedback on how well we have achieved our design goals.

Thank you for that information, Lintzy. When J! 1.5.12 was released there was a massive outcry about problems with TinyMCE editor. I joined the couple of hundred users who protested after I upgraded a couple of my test sites to that version. Until a proper fix was released I felt compelled to keep my production sites at J! 1.5.11. I will definitely investigate whether this new release is any good. :)

Hi:

I am having problems with user editing at backend. I cant' change user password, system reply with non existing user or bad password. Unfortunately I updated the two sites at same time leaving no room to compare.

Setup: Joomla 1.5.13, Apache 2.2.11, PHP 5.2.10, Kunena 1.5.4, Community Builder 1.2.1

I do read that login mod had a change in task=view to task=register or something like that.

What about the SEF patch for Joomla 1.5.14, anybody know when that will be available? even those that patch for version 12 would work on 13, it does not work on 14.
