Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

This is for users to help other users, to discuss topics that are related to forum administration in general or problems in running Joomla. This is not the place to ask for Joomla support. If you want assistance with Joomla please ask at forum.joomla.org

Hello!

This issue has a loong life! Would love to find a solution together with you and give this issue a resolution!

When I go to GWT, in the HTML improvements section I can see 312 dup descriptions and 300 dup title tags90% of them are coming from the Kunena forum of our website!

Please see the screenshot!
This can bring penalties to a lot of websites!

Let's find a solution together!

Hello,

same problem on my page...

Maybe a solution could be with the use of canonical links.
Here on kunena.org they are canonical links on topic view, on my homepage with Kunena there aren't any... I don't know why...

I encountered the same problem and i have founded solutions here :

i have made some changes to introduce page number in description and title
hope this can help

I hope we'll see something like that introduce in next release core files !!

This broken in Kunena a while back and has never really been fixed since:

github.com/Kunena/Kunena-1.6/issues/129

Until it's fixed (if ever it is), here's a plugin that has been customized to add the correct canonical URLs to Kunena forum pages.
