Question Restore deleted topic?

Hello,

I made a careless mistake today when I was deleting some forum spam and accidentally checked the wrong thread (with many posts in it) and permanently deleted it. I am using K2.03. I had a queasy feeling when I did it because the spam thread I had intended to delete was still there and sure enough a couple of hours later I received a PM asking where someone's thread had gone and unfortunately the mystery of which thread I had deleted was solved.

I have an Akeeba backup from 3 days ago which includes the thread I deleted so my question is this ...

If I restore the site backup to a subdirectory, would it be possible to somehow extract the thread I deleted and add it to the current forum (which has had many posts since the backup). Worst case I suppose is that I could copy and paste it into a single post in the current forum which would save the information but I would prefer to do it more cleanly.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide about whether this is possible.
