I'm using Kunena 2.0.1 on a Joomla 1.5.26 site.
I've been having many issues with Google Webmaster and Chrome over the last weeks and I'm wondering if they're linked to Kunena.
- Google has detected 100's of error pages on the site
- Googlebot can't access the site
- Link in Kunena email notifications are not working with Google chrome
Example: beautyontrial.co.uk/forums/beauty-etc/pr...i-facial/?mesid=6736
- Links in Kunena Lastest module are not working with Google Chrome:
Example: beautyontrial.co.uk/forums/beauty-etc/ba...nce-facebook/unread/
Is anyone having the same kind of problems?

No, no-one else has reported this before. Have you thought about upgrading to K 2.0.2?

How do you know "Googlebot" cannot access your website? What are these "100s" of error pages you have? Have you tried fixing any of these errors?

Hi sozzled,
Many thanks for the quick reply.

How do you know "Googlebot" cannot access your website?

I was notified by an email from Google Webmaster tools a few days ago. The site has been up and running for 2 years and it's the first time that this type of problem occurs.

What are these "100s" of error pages you have?

518 pages to be precised and they're mainly Kunena pages. This is a sudden and sharp increased in the number of errors.

Have you tried fixing any of these errors?

We're trying to narrow down the source of the problem hence my thread on this forum.
I'll update to the version 2.0.2 of Kunena tomorrow and monitor the changes.

You have given us no details of these 518 errors; the fact that you have 518 errors could mean anything. If we have not received any specific details about these errors in the next couple of days then I think we will have to close this topic because there is no information that points to the source of the problem as something that we can help you with.

Hi sozzled.
Please use the 2 links posted in this topic as examples of the errors mentioned.
I just don't know if this is caused by Kunena, Google Chrome or ArtioSEF.
It'd be nice to keep this thread open for a few days just in case of member can help.

How would you like me (or any one of the Kunena community) to verify the problem? :S

What do we have to do to verify the problem?

Hi sozzled.
We note that Google Search has resumed displaying our homepage and menus:
www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&rlz=1C2TEUA_...biw=1366&bih=643
It was most likely to be an issue caused by the old Google Analytics tracking code blocking the Googlebot from indexing the website as mentioned in this link:

Many thanks for your kind assistance and prompt reply.
