Question Problem with embedding a PDF

Our Joomla web designer just had a baby last week, and I don't want to bother her (yet!). I am trying to embed a PDF using "Enbed PDF Joomla Plugin" which she installed, and it doesn't seem to be working (or more probably, I am doing something wrong!).

I uploaded the PDF (I think, successfully?) and put in the following code in my article: {pdf} www.upj.org.au/home/upjorgau/public_html...e.pdf|app:adobe{/pdf } - but when I preview it doesn't appear - and if I try to link it (rather than embed), when I click on the link, it gives this error: [an error occurred while processing this directive].

Can you please help me?

You should be able to embed any link - in other words, a URL - (within reason) in Kunena. I don't know anything able this plugin that you're talking about. Have you spoken to the author of that plugin?

The "curly braces" code may not work in Kunena (a lot of those third-party plugins simply don't work with Kunena even if they work with Joomla articles).

An error processing this directive seems to be coming outside Kunena (maybe, maybe not).

I suggest that you read the posting guide (printed at the top of this page) and may be you can determine how this is a question of support in Kunena? I can't tell from the information you've given us. Sorry.

Sorry - I should have said that this was no longer regarding Kunena (my previously posted question); just asking about inserting the PDF in an article ...

*** Topic moved ***

As I mentioned earlier, I know nothing about the plugin you referred to. Inserting a PDF (using that plugin) into a Joomla article does not seem relevant to this forum (which is about giving help to people who use Kunena). I suggest that you direct your enquiry to the author of that template or, in terms of general questions about how to embed PDF files into Joomla articles, the Joomla forum .
