Hello,

First, thank you for putting together an excellent forum software and making it available for everybody for free.

I've got Joomla 1.5.15 and Kunena 1.5.11 and the problem that I am facing is how to link a menu item to a forum category?

I created an 'external' menu item and pointed it to the category like this:
mysite.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&I...func=showcat&catid=6

When this menu item which is part of a different menu module (say 'forum' menu module) is clicked, the entire page is overwritten with just the main menu module and the forum category. The forum menu module has disappeared. Can I display the forum, the forum menu module and the main menu module when this forum menu item is clicked?

I did go through this link:
www.kunena.com/forum/97-solved-or-prior-...em-to-forum-category

Do I have to use the code in this link to hack Kunena or is there a formal way to accomplish this? At the end of the thread both the moderator and emeyer acknowledge that this solution is not a general one and a solution will be released once K1.5 stabilizes... Is there a general solution yet?

Thanks mucho!
.Bala.
