Question Images in thread titles,,,possible?

okay, I have managed to get my image to show up as a topic image to select from, but when I choose it, it shows up only as the word "emo" and not as the actual image.

I didn't make it 32 by 32 because my image would not work at that size( tried it at the 32 by 32 and when I click to add it as a topic icon it doesn't show up, my icon that I have for when there is no topic icon still appears) so now I need to know how to make this one image fit with out resizing. (in the example posted in this thread his images are different sizes) and also I don't want this topic icon to be an option for everyone. This is just a one time image that will fit nicely with this one thread. If I remove it from the topic icon choices after I figure out how to use it at its current size, will it no longer appear in the thread that it was used?

Can you explain how the fact! not a problem for you if you post a picture. Thanks

The image above shows where I would like my image to appear. This would be the ideal place because it wouldn't alter the size of the spot where the topic icons appear. I just have three threads that I would like to start which require an image in this position. however, I will settle for the place where the blue folders are located. I have managed to change the blue folder image but I do not know how to have different images for each thread(topic)





I have managed to create a new topic icon and have it appear as a selection where it says "topic icon" but when I select my newly created icon it just displays the word"emo" and not the image. I have tried resizing my image to 32 by 32 and when I do that, after I select my image, it still does not appear but still shows my old image or the blue folder.

If I am unable to have an image in my preferred position and decide to go with option number2, In this instance, after I create my topic icons and use them, I don't want them to continue to appear as a selection for other users. Also, I don't want to enlarge the space for the topic icons. I noticed in the example on the previous page the spaces are enlarged and remain enlarged even when the blue folder is used for the icon. I don't want that.


I know it's confusing but I hope the images give a clearer picture of what I was trying to convey.

Actually this looks like a cool feature in the future (having own icon / image to show up in the thread list).

In the mean time: all emoticons are located in one directory: easiest to find where is to open topic image in a new tab and look where it is found. To add it into editor or other screens is harder in Kuenna 1.5. You need to add it into more than one file. Unfortunately I don't remember where and I'm too tired to look at it now..

Fortunately K1.6 will make it very easy to add your own topic icons..

To add other icons or modify existing ones need to edit the following files to components -> com_kunena -> template and thread.php flat.php found in Template Template default_ex then smile.class.php in default.

I know how to modify the images, I just cannot make them different. Also when I add new topic icons. they appear in the selection but once selectd, they don't appear as images just as the word "emo".
