The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

I'd like to add a custom bbCode to the Kunena forum in joomla.
In fact, I already have developed the plugin for Joomla! that adds my bbCode to Joomla! articles, but the Joomla! plugin is not applied to Kunena posts.
I wonder if there is some documentation or an example how to add a new bbCode to Kunena. Even better if it could be possible for Kunena to take advantage of the installed Joomla! plugin that already does the translation of my plugin.

Unfortunately, it seems the Kunena platform is not designed for easily adding a new "boardcode". I found a post about a "boardcode hack", with a collection of files to be replaced in the original Kunena installation.
I'm afraid I might have to put this project aside...
