Question How to DISABLE quick reply?

it appears after every post and looks terrible i'd rather just take it off how do i this please thanks

I'm sorry but your request is not something that is either endorsed nor supported in the core Kunena software. It is possible to change the source code yourself to remove this feature, if that is what you want, and I am therefore moving this discussion topic from the Support category to the Hacks, Tips and Tricks category for these reasons. Perhaps someone else has an answer for you or you might try searching the forums to see if the question has been asked (and solved) before.

Hi thanks for the reply, on second thoughts i don't wish to disable it, i just don't want the text box to appear unless you click on 'quick reply' as currently the text box shows under each post even when you are just viewing the topic :S

Thank you for clarifying your original question.

The Quick Reply form is generated by Javascript. The fact that, in your case, the Quick Reply form always appears suggests that you have a conflict with another component on your website. Javascript problems involving Quick Reply have been a constant source of questions in this forum (although users typically have a different problem to you: pressing the Quick Reply button does not even generate the form!)

If you search the forum for something like Quick Reply problems, or Quick Reply doesn't work, you may get a few clues. Look for prime culprits like RocketTheme extensions (e.g. RokCandy plugin is a known worst offender). Let us know how you get on.

It appeared to be a problem with the template I had installed so I just changed template and that solved it, easiest way. Thanks for your help you can delete this thread if you like.
