Sorry i was reading this post just now. I don't fully understand what you mean by the welcome message? Is it the sample forum post after a fresh install of Kunena?

Yes, Spock.
It's the kunena welcome message you see after a new installation.
I guess, I may had edited it at some point and now I really don't know how to delete it.

Can you delete it in the frontend (are you an admin or moderator)? Go to the categories view click on the forum category/sub-category then there should be a checkbox beside the welcome post then use the two drop-down lists at the bottom of the forum to delete it. Or you can delete it when viewing the message using the moderator delete button.
If this doesn't work for you (for whatever reason) get back to me

Hi Spock,

Thank you for your reply.
I'm the administrator of the forum.
I've already tried to delete the message both from back-end and front-end with no success.
From front-end: it's impossible to edit the message. As mentioned earlier, I get an error message about its size.
From back-end: I can't see the see the message in the forum administration tree.
Is there any other way to locate this file?

With thanks

Hi,

Sorry about your problem.

The error message is unrelated to the welcome message. If you get an error message about too little memory, it means your php config is not setup for the amount of plugins and modules you have installed. Raise the memory limit in your php.ini file to get past that problem.

The welcome message is just a thread like any other. You can edit, move or delete it, just like you would with any regular thread.

Again the error message is unrelated to this and will come up with any thread you would want to edit.

Hope this helps!

fxstein
