Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

Question Can I use Kunena's bbcode parser in another component/plugin?

I have a custom profile page for users. I added a field to edit Kunena signature in there also. The problem is that when I need to show/preview it on the profile page, the bbcode is not working obviously.

Rather than adding another messy bbcode parser, I'm thinking if it is possible to use Kunena's own parser, since that's the way it is going to be in the forums. I've tried to look at /lib/kunena.parser(.base, .bbcode,).php but it was not very straightforward to me.

Any ideas?

Yes - we have been thinking along those lines. Need to look up the details, but you should only have to include 1 or 2 files from kunena and be able to call the parser and render the output.

It does require some coding, but should only be a few lines.
