Could you please help me learn how to adjust the default category view of my kunena board so that one category is automatically expanded, and one category is automatically collapsed?

I looked in the documentation and searched in these forums under "template, category, collapsed" but didn't find an answer.

I am using the default template for kunena 1.5.11

Thank you!

Win

Good question. Don't know how to do this (not even sure if it can be done in a generalised way). Will require some code changes.

Perhaps someone might be willing to pay for this feature?

Whether you want to have "old categories" - and only you can define what fits the definition - or any specific category's view collapsed - in the sense that I think we all would understand it - this is not easily achieved in K 1.5, nor in any version of Kunena.

There's no hook, no API (if you'd like to think of it in those terms), in the configuration settings to define nominated categories as 'collapsed by default'".
