Question [Topic closed by moderator - assumed resolved] 500 Internal Server Error after server upgrade

I get a "500 Internal Server Error, The server encountered an internal error or missconfiguration and was unable to complete your request" from a link in My Profile Box. This link is "My Profile Info" and the "Additional Info" on other members profile are not shown either. I know that this was working from the start (installed kunena couple of days ago) but now not.

I also happens to know that they did an upgrade on the server yesterday and nothing else was working after that except my startpage, all links from other pages gived errors. Now they have fixed this, but this link in kunena forum is still not working.

They fixed the other things by changing Joomla configuration.php like this:
varSsef_rewrite="0"
varSsef_suffix="0"
with changing the 0 in both to 1

Now i wonder if there is some configuration in kunena which need to be changed too. specially for that link? I also wonder how to activate the debug function in kunena?
Now this is not so bad for me, because i can consider to disable those additional info totally, if we can't find any way to fix it. In that case i need some help to disable that part totally, i mean which files do i need to change?

An error 500 is a bit particular you need to look closely to your server, in a first time you check the error apache log to see if you have errors...

I'm not sure i understand what your mean. The only error message i get and see is this:
"500 Internal Server Error, The server encountered an internal error or missconfiguration and was unable to complete your request" and a white page, so i don't really get out anything from that. That error comes when clicked on write message button in categories and a couple of other links.

I have also detected that this error comes from several links, it's not possible to post messages for an example. I know it's a server problem, because my hosting upgraded the server yesterday (i dont have an idea what they did. i have asked them but have not received any answer yet) I do also know that before that upgrade the hosting server did, all was working fine in the kunena. As i wrote before it tooked down the whole Joomla site, except the startpage.

Does Kunena have some debug function i can activate to see more about the errors?
Or perhaps it is better to uninstall and make a new fresh installation, i dont have any members yet on my site, But in that case i'm not sure if the server is compatible with Kunena anymore. Any suggestions?

This is the error log i got:
(104)Connection reset by peer: mod_fcgid: error reading data from FastCGI server, referer: www.mysite.com/forum/3-shopping.html
Premature end of script headers: index.php, referer: www.mysite.com/forum/3-shopping.html

This is not telling me anything. I'm not an expert.

If you have this settings in Joomla:
Use Apache mod_rewrite =yes
Add suffix to URLs = yes
than Kunena will not work. There will be some pages which will give an 500 Internal server error, not all pages. That means propably that the code is not written correctly on those pages.

Since i must have those settings on in Joomla to get Joomla to work at my server i have to uninstall Kunena forum. Luckily i found another forum which does work without any problems.
