Kunena 6.2.5 & module Kunena Latest 6.0.7 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.5 [K 6.2.5] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.3.x/4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

Hello, I hope someone here can help! We recently installed JomSocial (changing from Community Builder). We were disappointed to learn that by default, all of our users' profiles were set to NOT receive system messages (!), so I had to manually go through 740 users and set each one to receive system messages.

Well, after doing so, we have now discovered that when a new forum message is posted, ALL of our registered users receive the Kunena email notification to moderators, telling them that a message has been posted that may require moderation! Needless to say, we have some confused, and ticked-off, users right now.

In searching the JomSocial support forums, it was stated that this is a Kunena issue, not a JomSocial one (?).

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a fix? Thanks!!

Hello,

Because you have enabled to all users that receive system messages, now they receive email notifications for moderation. The best way is to disable for all users, maybe not for moderators to receive system message.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

But isn't enabling the users to "Receive System Emails" in the JomSocial Users configuration necessary for us to mass mail them through the Joomla backend, or through JomSocial's "Mass Messaging" feature?

OK, thanks, Matias. So this IS a Kunena issue, then? When will that RC2 be released, please? Our Kunena forum has been taken offline as a result of this (obviously) - we can't have 740 users receiving moderator notification emails every time one of them posts a message in the discussion forum. Thanks.

Short of that - could you please tell me how, within the Kunena core files, to turn off the email notification that goes to the Super Administrator? (There's no option for that in the Kunena CP in the Joomla backend.) Then at least we'll be able to stop all of our users from receiving notifications, and we'll be able to get our forum back online. Thanks!

I am also having the issue with plain registered users receiving moderator emails. We installed 1.5.11 a couple months ago and this thread makes it sound as if this issue would have been fixed prior to this version.
Please help!

(P.S. Thank goodness we found out where to stop the SuperAdmin from getting ALL moderation emails in the config! That was getting us too!)
