Question Child Forums Not Showing

Hi there,

I recently migrated from 1.0 series with fireboard up to 1.5.14 with K 1.5.5. I'm very happy with the migration generally and with Kunena in particular.

I have a problem with Kunena in that when I click on any of the child boards in category view I get a white page with the page content unformatted. I have attached a picture to save me 1000 words.

Also in the category view all the forums show up with threads/posts as 0/0

I get the same unformatted page response when I use the recent posts tab. I do have a javascript conflict somewhere on that page that I'm trying to track down but I don't think they are related, or are they?

The site is www.bodojo.com - some of the forum is visible without registering so you can see the problem.

Many thanks

Paul

Bumping this

I'm getting messages from my site members that this is proving to make the site unnavigable.

Please help or even offer suggestions as to where I should start to look

Many thanks

Hey guys,

If nobody can help with a solution out of the box, can someone please tell me where I start to look to find the templating files for the child forums or those in which I may look to see if I can get the threads/posts count to accurately reflect the proper counts.

Anything to get me started on a fix, my forum has lost momentum and is withering on the vine.

Thanks

Paul

Hello,

I think you have an error, so enable the debug mode in joomla! configuration panel and set php error reporting on maximum.

I think it's a known issue : docs.kunena.com/index.php/Kunena_1.5.5_Read_Me

- Moderator tools are still incomplete. We disabled the option to split because it might break threads.
- New topics in subforum child forums are not shown on the categories page.
- Entering wrong Capthca code resets message form.
- JomSocial profile links may be pointing to wrong place if there are many JomSocial menu entries.
- JomSocial avatars are not shown in user list.
- Quick Reply changes '>' to '&gt' and '<' to '&lt'.
- If administrator or moderator edits posts, the email address saved in that message gets replaced.
- Pagination doesn't work in My Messages
- Rank images and smilies won't show up in backend if language is something else than English.

Hi Xillibit,

I tracked the non-display down. It was the components/com_kunena/templates/default_ex/flat.php file and the changes I made to that to make the post dates show actual dates that than the silly 'X time ago' - this was the thread I followed .

The date display could be considered a configuration option rather than a hack?

The thread/post count is still screwy counting only new threads although the stats do show the thousands that went before

Anyway I have sorted the main functional problem now

Cheers

This only a hack and there are no options for change this in kunena configuration panel.
