Hi,

i have following problems with the avatars,

1. it is not possible to upload an avatar on the menu "your Avatar" although i allowed it on the settings. I get this error :

Code:

* JFile::copy: Cannot find or read file: ''
* JFile::copy: Cannot find or read file: ''
* JFile::copy: Cannot find or read file: ''

* Dein Avatar wurde hochgeladen

I get the error with all allowed fiels (JPG, GIF und PNG.)

The second problem is, i can not create a new gallery for my avatars. There are 2 folders i found but i dont know which one i should use.

- components/com_kunena/kunena.files.distribution/avatars
- /media/kunena/attachments/legacy/avatars

Where should i upload the avatars with ftp? the permissions are correct. i uploaded in both folders the new avatars but in the drop down menu there was only the standard gallery.

Is this a known problem or what did i wrong?
Can somebody help me please.
Greetings,
Phatair

Hello,

I think that the best way is to disable the FTP mode in joomla.

For add a new avatar gallery : docs.kunena.com/index.php/How_to_add_an_other_avatar_gallery

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Hi xillibit,

the ftp mode in joomla is disabled.

I followed the instructions on your link - now i see the new gallery in the drop down menu but if i select, it looks like it will be load but then the standard gallery is load :/

It looks like the filename is empty in avatar upload. I have no idea what happens in your server, so this may be hard to fix without getting more information.

Do you have any experience with PHP (coding)?

Hi!

I have the same problem...

When I put my avatars in the default gallery directory they load fine but when I create a new directory in the default gallery directory I see the new gallery in the drop down menu but when I select it, it looks like it loads but then I'm back to the standard gallery.

I'm hoping for a solution...

Thank you!
