Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Problem Description:
i am getting an error which i viewed in debug mode to help someone here decipher what it means. i am running kunena 1.5.4 stable and i\'m using Joomla\'s built in SEF URL with mod_rewrite. please help. FYI if i disable Joomla\'s SEF rewriting, everything works fine.

All I did was the following order:

I renamed htaccess.txt to .htaccess via my FTP client(filezilla)

Then I selected yes on all three choices for SEF and it works like a charm.

Hi,

try this,

open you htaccess.txt and comment out red line, then rename the file in .htaccess

## Can be commented out if causes errors, see notes above.
#Options +FollowSymLinks

i didnt think of that but unfortunately its still didnt help.

is there anything else i can do? maybe reinstalling the kunena component?

is there any additional debug or info i should provide?

Here are two ideas that might help you:
  1. Read Search engine optimization (SEO) in the Wiki. Read it through, carefully. Note: .htaccess (there's a leading "dot").
  2. Check again the menu link in Menu Manager - you might need to update/refresh the link again (a common problem, easily corrected, that causes the "out-of-date bookmark/favorite" symptom).
