Question Can't Remove a Sticky

Thank you for providing us with a link to your website which clearly illustrates the problem you're trying to describe. You have what I would describe as an orphaned message - one that doesn't belong in an existing category. You can't click on the message to view it, you can't click on the category that it was posted under to see the category either. In other words, you have a bit of a mess.

Perhaps, as Lintzy said earlier, under normal circumstances if you delete a category the posts will not appear any more. However, because this message was a sticky maybe that is not the case? :S In any event, you want to know how to delete the message.

It may be possible to remove this message using Kunena's moderator tools and, just as possible, it may not be. I would suggest that you look at the database: use a tool like phpMyAdmin (your webhost probably provides access to it through cPanel), look at the table jos_fb_messages, locate the offending message and delete it. You may also want to delete its corresponding message text from the table jos_fb_message_text. Although it's a bit like cracking an acorn with a sledgehammer, this should clear up your problem.

Please try in Kunena Backend "Recount Category Stats".

If this does not help, open your database. Please make a database - backup before you change something.

Open the database table jos_fb_messages and delete the rules message, it should be the message with id 16, parent 0, thread 16, catid 9. Please look into "subject field" if this is the right message.

The message text will be deleted automatically.

Then go to jos_fb_categories and see if the category forum rules is deleted yet in database, should be id 9. If not, delete this category.

This will solve it.
