Question Can't manage newer uploaded images

I've just noticed that some of the newer images uploaded to the forum are not associated with posts in the Uploaded Images browser. They appear both in the posts and in the uploaded images list, but with the indcator "No referencing Post!".

I've tried to troubleshoot this by using different image filenames, but it seems to make no difference.

I'm using Kunena 1.5.4 on Joomla 1.5.12.

Any tips on extra troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

I've noticed that the mysql table fb_attachments is getting new entries which look like this:
/tmp/phpdVOTqX
rather than
/home/bpsorg/public_html/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/Kestrel_5.jpg

Same issue here. Same effect in jos_fb_attachments data table.

While it may be a coincidence, I also experience a fleeting error message at the time of file uploads:

JFTP:: chmod: bad response.

The upload appears to proceed despite the error warning, and the page is referred back to the forum, where the attachment appears in the post and can be opened.

However, in the back end, the files are described as having "no referring post."

I am running Kunena 1.5.4 on Joomla 1.5.11. New installation.

Quick update. The JPTF error message may be unrelated to the topic of this thread.

In my case, the effect described above of having "no reference post" in the backend and bad location info in the database occurs when attachments are included in NEW posts. But it does NOT occur when an an attachment is added to an existing post as part of an edit operation. Everything seems to work OK then.

My error message happens in both cases, so I will deal with that separately.

Hello,

The indicator "No referencing Post !" is strange, I have the same indicator on uploaded file on my test installation, so I will report this to the DEVs. Thanks for reporting this.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.
